Ethan Hawke was born to teenage parents who separated when he was still a toddler. He then traveled around with his free spirited mother for the next seven years until his mother remarried and settled in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. When Ethan was 14 he made his film debut with River Phoenix in the sci-fi movie ” Explorers.” The film may have been a flop but the two boys created a friendship that lasted until Rivers death in 1993. While Phoenix’s career skyrocketed, Ethan’s took a side street. For the following four years he attended high school and acted in school plays. He went on to study acting at Carnegie-Mellon but was expelled after his first day. It wasn′t until 1988 that his career took off. He was offered a role in Peter Weir’s “Dead Poets Society″ with Robin Williams. He film was a huge success and so was Ethan. He then made a string of films that were critically acclaimed although unsuccessful in the box office, including the World War ll drama “A Midnight Clear.” Though he was known for his acting ability and talent, when he asked Julia Roberts to dance while she was married to Lyle Lovett, he added needed publicity to his name. The request turned into a tabloid feast and Ethan’s name became very well known.

Hawke regards himself as an artist more than just an actor. He is involved in a wide variety of the business and is a co-founder and artistic director of Malaparte, a New York City theatre company. He has also directed the music video “Stay″ for his friend Lisa Loeb. He has enrolled in the New York University’s English program twice but his work has kept him from finishing his studies. Although he regrets not finishing his undergraduate degree he has compensated by becoming an fervent reader and writer on his own. He made headlines when he signed a $400,000 book deal with Little, Brown, and Co for a novel in 1994. The book The Hottest State was released in 1996. It was about a twenty-one year old who lives in New York and is struggling to understand love.

He proceeded to star in various small scale films including Richard Linklater’s talkfest “Before Sunrise,” and “Alive” for which he had to loose 30 pounds. More recently he appeared with real life love Uma Thurman in “Gattaca”. Uma and Ethan were married in May of 1998 and share a daughter Maya Ray who was born in July of 1998. He was cast in the modernized adaptation of Charles Dickens classic “Great Expectations with Gwyneth Paltrow. Ethan reunited with director Linklater for the based-on-truth film “The Newton Boys” in 1998, which saw him and fellow hottie Matthew McConaughey robbing banks. In 1999 he was cast in the deeply affecting drama “Joe the King” which featured Malaparte co-founder Frank Whaley’s debut as director and writer. He also held top billing in the eagerly anticipated adaptation of David Guterson’s best-selling mystery-romance courtroom drama novel “Snow Falling on Cedars.”

Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. (born December 28, 1954) is a two-time Academy Award and Golden Globe Award-winning American actor and director. He has garnered much critical acclaim for his portrayals of several real-life figures, such as Steve Biko, Malcolm X, Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, Frank Lucas, and Herman Boone.

In 2000, Washington appeared in the crowd-pleasing Disney film, Remember the Titans, which grossed over $100 million at the United States box office. He was nominated and won an Oscar for Best Actor for his next film, the 2001 cop thriller, Training Day, which was considered a change of pace for Washington, as he played a villainous character after many roles as a heroic lead. Washington was the second African-American performer ever to win an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor (for Training Day), the first being Sidney Poitier, who happened to receive an Honorary Academy Award the same night that Washington won for Best Actor. Washington is the only actor of African descent to have acting nominations (five times) for an African-American performer.

After appearing in 2002’s box office success, the Health care-themed John Q., Washington directed his first film, a well-reviewed drama called Antwone Fisher, in which he also co-starred. Between 2003 and 2004, Washington appeared in a series of thrillers that performed generally well at the box office, including Out of Time, Man on Fire, and The Manchurian Candidate. In 2006 he starred in Inside Man, a Spike Lee-directed bank heist thriller co-starring Jodie Foster and Clive Owen, and Déjà Vu released in November 2006. Next he was working with Russell Crowe in the film American Gangster.

Washington made a rare stage appearance in 2005 as Brutus in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar on Broadway. The production’s limited run was a sell-out despite receiving universally terrible reviews. In 1983, Washington married actress Pauletta Pearson (now Pauletta Washington), whom he met on the set of his first screen role, Wilma. The couple have four children: John David (b. July 28, 1984), who signed a football contract with the St. Louis Rams in May 2006 after playing college football at Morehouse; Katia (b. November 1987), who is attending Yale University, and twins Olivia and Malcolm (b. April 10, 1991). In 1995, the couple renewed their wedding vows in South Africa with Archbishop Desmond Tutu officiating.

Washington and his family visited soldiers at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He later made a sizable donation to the Fisher Houses, small hotels that provide rooms for soldiers’ families while the soldiers are hospitalized. In October 2006, he published a bestseller entitled Hand to Guide Me, featuring actors, politicians, athletes, and other public figures recalling their childhood mentors. The book was published in commemoration of the Boys and Girls Club of America’s centennial anniversary. Denzel had participated in the club as a child.

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia named Washington as one of three people (the others being directors Oliver Stone and Michael Moore) they want to negotiate with for the release of three defense contractors that the group has held captive since 2003. In May 20, 2007 Washington received an honorary doctorate of humanities degree from Morehouse College. Washington is also a Christian.

Dublin native Colin Farrell began turning heads in Hollywood when he starred in Joel Schumacher’s Tigerland, which portrays the story of American soldiers taken to the backwoods of Louisiana in 1971 to play war games in preparation for their first tour of duty in Vietnam. Colin garnered a Best Actor Award from the Boston Society of Film Critics for his portrayal of “Bozz”, a roughneck Texan recruit who helps his boot-camp buddies avoid Vietnam combat. Colin also starred alongside Kevin Spacey in Thaddeus O′Sullivan’s Dublin gangster movie, Ordinary Decent Criminal. It was Spacey who suggested him for the part after catching Farrell′s riveting performance in the play, In a Little World of Our Own at the Donmar Warehouse in London. Born on May 31, 1976, Farrell studied acting at the Gaiety School of Drama in Dublin and has established himself as a recognizable talent back home with a starring role in the BBC series Ballykissangel and Dierdre Purcell′s miniseries Falling for a Dancer, in addition to a featured role in Tim Roth’s directoral debut, The War Zone. After Tigerland, Farrell took on the role of Jesse James in American Outlaws. Farrell then shot a starring role in the film Phone Booth, reuniting him with director Joel Schumacher. He also co-starred with Bruce Willis in Hart’s War which was shot on location in Prague, Czech Republic. Along the way Colin has managed to work with legendary directors such as Stephen Spielberg in the film Minority Report, which starred Tom Cruise. All this has happened for Colin by the age of 25, earning him the title of one of Hollywood′s A-list young actors.

His fans are by admission “die hard″, his critics venomous in their opposition, either way he never fails to illicit strong feelings in both.

Despite his many personal problems, Mr. Sheen has continued to work in a town where being “Blacklisted″ can quite literally mean the end of your career. Mr. Sheen’s many film credits are tangible proof that he has not spent all of his time in bedrooms and bars. Though I feel certain that his infamous title, “Charlie the Machine”, was painstakingly earned, I feel compelled to also address his other titles, “Charlie the Actor”, “Charlie the Producer”, “Charlie the Director” and much to many′s surprise he’s also managed to add to an already impressive list of accomplishments “Charlie the Poet”and “Charlie the Writer”. A closer look at this man will also show you, “Charlie the Father”, “Charlie the Son”, “Charlie the Friend″. And yes even “Charlie the Activist”. There could be no doubt he is his father’s son.

Over the years Mr. Sheen has continued to practice his craft, his list of accomplishments are impressive to say the least, he’s made both good films and bad, but he’s made them on a almost continual basis, showing us indeed, that he does not lack in either ability or drive. Mr. Sheen’s credits as an actor, among other things, include a wide variety of genres as anyone, looking at them, can attest.
He’s also added to these many an ad for miscellanous products from taco’s to sunglasses, lending either his voice or unmistakable face to these items. Speaking parts done by this man can be found in many a place, from Taco Bell commercials to the movie “All Dogs Go To Heaven”. I don’t suppose one can escape addressing his personal life without being accused of skipping over it intentionally, suffice it to say, it’s been as colorful as his screen credits. Being in the public eye for so long has left Mr. Sheen with an almost nonexistent private life. His romps and the innuendo that follow them are well documented and placed on public display regularly. To actually read an article without “Bad Boy Charlie Sheen” somewhere in the text is a blessed relief for his fans and one that is all too rare.

Charlie is the 3rd child of actor, activist and just generally impressive personage Martin Sheen and not often seen in the public eye, Janet Estevez (Sheen), the brother of actor, producer and director Emilio Estevez, Ramon Estevez and Renee Estevez, the last two having film credits of their own. A very impressive list of family credits all around.

Mr. Sheen was born September 3, 1965 @10:48 p.m. in New York, NY., and was promptly named Carlos Irwin Estevez, it was not until much later that he changed his name, in his own words, “What’s in a name?”. Mr. Sheen, despite his brother Emilio’s wish to be known as a separate entity from father Martin Sheen and carry on the Estevez name, thought it important to see the Sheen name carried on as well. Mr. Sheen has been accused countless times of taking a ride in on his father’s coat tails when he chose to use the Sheen name, but as he chalked up credits of his very own, he proved himself to be an actor in his own right and left no doubt as to his own abilities.
Mr. Sheen by his own admission was not always the “Hollywood Bad Boy″ he’s viewed as today, it appears that brother Emilio was the high school Don Juan, Charlie, for all his charm and good looks, was not at all the ladies man and appears to have immersed himself in sports for the first part of his life, he is still, to this day, a very avid fan.

He made his first debut in “Private Slovik” at 9 years of age and has continued to grace the screen for well over 20 years of his life, not a flash in the pan by far. He tried his hand at film making at a very young age, not at all the typical child, doing 8m films with the neighborhood kids, not your average kids mind you, but personalities such as Sean and Chris Penn, Chad and Rob Lowe and of course, brother Emilo, complete with stage props all to obviously “borrowed″ from the studios. The members of the “Pointe Dume Mafia”, as they called themselves, would go on to prove themselves talented individuals.

Not only an actor, Mr. Sheen appears to be a collector of a wide assortment of things, antique watches, baseball memrobilia, cars and as I understand it, a rather large chunk of dinosaur. Mr. Sheen recently displayed his baseball collection at the Official All Star Cafe in Times Square , the cards, valued at $170,000, were stolen, Jeff Ballard, who’s been Mr. Sheen’s publicist for a number or years stated that his client was obviously upset and quoted Charlie as saying “It’s a sad day when artifacts that represent the essence of this country′s heart and soul are removed from a public place of enjoyment.” With the knowledge we now posses of this man I′d be remiss if I didn’t mention that I thought his comment may have been edited for consumption for the general public.

One of the larger surprises in Mr. Sheen’s life, would obviously be his daughter, now a teenager, Cassandra. One would certainly have to wonder at his reaction to fatherhood at the ripe old age of 19, but it appears that he has every intention of being a part of his childs life which in it’s self speaks for his dedication to family Charlie’s feeling on the subject being made very plain, “I didn’t want her to be ten and not know who her daddy was…that’s the kind of stuff you go to hell for”. Martin and wife Janet appear to have instilled in their children a very strong sense of blood ties and Charlie seems to have learned that lesson well.

Mr. Sheens added to his list of accomplishments in 1998, a production company in partnership with Poison’s Bret Michaels. Sheen/Michaels Entertainment proved Mr. Sheen and partner Micheals to be something more then simply pretty faces. The production company is no longer a Sheen/Micheals enterprise but was responsible for movies such as “A Letter From Death Row” and was the beginnings of what looks like Mr. Sheen’s venture into the business side of film making.

Mr. Sheen appears to be a roller coaster of ups and downs, but there is no doubt that he has maintained his sense of humor at even the worst of times, laughing at himself and the things around him in an almost smug way. Unfortunately his rather sharp and sometimes strikingly honest sense of humor has been fodder for the media, not always because they misinterpreted him but, sometimes, simply because taking his statements out of context, and Charlie is well known for holding nothing back, made for better print.

A more complex individual would be hard to find and one has to question at times if he even understands himself. His critics have been heard to call him “Snarly Mean”, and he can indeed be very gruff, his friends and family, and yes even some of his much touted by the media ex girl friends and not to be forgotten x-wife, will tell you he’s got a heart of gold and may even at times be painfully shy. So which is the real Charlie Sheen? Will we ever truly know someone simply by some articles and talk show appearances through the years and how does he view himself?

I will say that I hope the future brings us many more years of this man’s talent and wit. As I sit here writing it is with the knowledge that he is currently dealing with a very subtle monster, in the form of substance abuse ,but he’s gotten help and has the support of his family and friends. He is currently out of rehab and it’s reported that he is seeking to continue his education and may add to his many ventures a clothes line, currently being touted as MASHEEN Wear. Our good wishes, as always, go with him, we know him to be a strong individual and there’s no doubt in my mind he will yet return to offer us more of himself.

Good luck Charlie and God bless , we stand in awe of the things that you have thus far accomplished in your 33 short years and await your next venture with open arms and an unfaltering belief in your abilities.

If you have an interest in the projects Charlie has worked on in the past or may be considering in the future, you may want to check out his bio’s page, I hope you enjoy the site Vonne has put together for all of us as much as I have.

William Jacob Crystal (born March 14, 1948) is a Golden Globe Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning American actor, writer, producer, comedian and film director. He gained prominence in the 1970s for playing Richard Mulligan’s & Cathryn Damon’s TV son, Jodie Dallas, on the ABC comedy-drama, Soap, and became a Hollywood film star during the late 1980s and 1990s, appearing in the box office

Billy Crystal Career and Personal Life
Crystal appeared briefly in Rob Reiner’s 1984 “rockumentary” This Is Spinal Tap as Morty The Mime, a waiter dressed as a mime at one of Spinal Tap’s parties. He shared the scene with a then-unknown Dana Carvey, who didn’t speak. Crystal’s memorable line in the film was “Mime is money.” Eventually, Reiner directed Crystal again in The Princess Bride and then in the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally…, for which Crystal was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Crystal wrote, directed and starred in Mr. Saturday Night (1992) and Forget Paris (1995), the former of which Crystal played a serious role in aging makeup, as an egotistical comedian who reflects back on his career. He directed the made-for-television movie 61* (2001) based on Roger Maris’s and Mickey Mantle’s race to break Babe Ruth’s single-season home run record in 1961. This earned Crystal an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special. Crystal has continued working in film, including the popular Analyze This (1999) and Analyze That (2002) with Robert De Niro. Crystal lent his voice to the character Mike Wazowski in Pixar’s animated feature film Monsters, Inc. and in the English version of Howl’s Moving Castle as the voice of Calcifer. Pixar originally approached him to provide the voice of Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story. He turned down that offer, regretting it after that film became one of the most popular releases of that year. Crystal won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event for 700 Sundays, a two-act, one-man play, which he conceived and wrote about his parents and his childhood growing up on Long Island.[5] He toured the US with the show in 2006 and Australia in 2007. Following the initial success of the play, Crystal wrote the book 700 Sundays for Warner Books, which was published on October 31, 2005. In conjunction with the book and the play, which also paid tribute to his uncle, Milt Gabler, Crystal produced two CD compilations: Billy Crystal Presents: The Milt Gabler Story, which featured his uncle’s most influential recordings from Billie Holiday’s “Strange Fruit” to “Rock Around the Clock″ by Bill Haley & His Comets; Billy Remembers Billie featured Crystal’s favorite Holiday recordings.

In 1986, Crystal started hosting Comic Relief on HBO with Robin Williams, and Whoopi Goldberg. Founded by Bob Zmuda, Comic Relief raises money for homeless men, women and children in the United States. On September 6, 2005 on The Tonight Show, Crystal and Jay Leno were the first celebrities to sign a Harley-Davidson motorcycle to be auctioned off for Gulf Coast relief.
